WELCOME TO IT'S MAGIC MALTESE

My name is Tina Chermak.  I live in Topeka, Kansas. I am a Maltese Show Breeder. I would like to introduce you to It's Magic Maltese. I was first introduced to Maltese when I became intrigued with a little mix breed Maltese at the Humane Shelter.  I wasn't allowed to adopt her because I had an Airedale.  So, I saved up and bought a Maltese male in Kansas City. It turned out he had been breed by a well known Maltese Show Breeder named Marjorie Lewis of Al-Mar Maltese. I joined our local AKC dog club and while at a class for obedience I became interested in the dogs being trained for show.  Nikki has the best personality and he loves to meet people. He has quite a few well known ancestors in his pedigree.  Being new to showing Maltese and showing a dog, kept Nikki from being shown to his AKC Championship.  In December, 2000 I bought a little girl from Betty Rathke (Kelbet's Maltese) in Emporia, KS.  But, alas, Jassmine did not like to be around strangers.  So, showing her was out of the question.  She too ended up having a very nice pedigree with several well known breeders.  I bought another little girl from Betty in April, 2001.  I had a lot to learn about showing a dog, let alone a Maltese. I found a mentor in Lorretta Dean of Lor-Luv's Maltese. With Lorretta's help I learned about showing dogs.  It took me two years to finish my first Maltese Show Dog (CH Kelbet's Charlot's Web).  There were several stops along the way, but it was even more exciting to finish Charlot and finish my second Maltese Show Dog Tommy on the same day, same show.  ( CH Magic's Thunder Storm Brewing). WOW!  Ever since I have been hooked on producing a nice Maltese Show Dog for me to show in the ring.
